The Educational Development Centre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University invites applications for the position of Evaluation Officer in its e-Learning Development and Support Section (eLDSS). The appointee will be appointed at the substantive level of Assistant Educational Development Officer and will be required to: (a) contribute as a core member of the e-Learning Development and Support Section (eLDSS) to promote evaluation of learning impact as staff members integrate technology innovation into their teaching and learning at the University; (b) provide consultation and expertise to e-learning project teams or individual academic staff members on formative and summative evaluation of teaching and learning, particularly of e-learning projects; (c) coordinate institutional projects to evaluate the impact of modern educational technologies on student learning process and outcomes; and (d) plan, develop and offer courses, workshops and other activities for staff in a variety of evaluation contexts including programme evaluation, subject level evaluation, and the design and evaluation of applied research to assess learning impact from the use of technology innovation. Applicants should have: (a) a recognised higher degree in Education, preferably in learning and teaching theory and application; (b) a minimum of five years' relevant experience in the areas of evaluation and/or education; (c) excellent facilitation/interactive teaching skills and a commitment to learning-centred teaching; (d) excellent communication, consultation and interpersonal skills; (e) commitment to customer service and team-oriented approach to work; and (f) demonstrated competence and expertise in educational evaluation.Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit a portfolio of their recent work/ accomplishments, attend an interview and give a presentation.
