Due to rationalisation, a set of finding-aids relating to the register of sasines for the City of Glasgow has become surplus to requirements. The finding-aids consist of: · abridgements 1781-1947 (bound) · abridgements 1948-1974 (unbound) · index of persons 1869-1975 (some gaps) · index of places 1872-1975 (some gaps) These finding-aids are currently held by the University of Glasgow on loan from the National Archives of Scotland and amount to approximately 10 metres’ worth of material . The costs of transportation would need to be met by any service that wishes to acquire them and the arrangements for uplift would be in negotiation with the University of Glasgow.
