At-Bristol and their 'Amazing Brain' website, in partnership with The European Dana Alliance for the Brain and The British Neuroscience Association are inviting entries for The 2006 National Brain Science Writing Prize. The competition judges are looking for a truly engaging newspaper-style science article of around 650 words on the subject of brain science (including all areas of neuroscience and experimental psychology and brain-related ethics). The articles should be lively, scientifically accurate and aimed at a general public audience. The competition has two categories: 1. The General Prize is open to everyone from school students to professors, to write an engaging article on any area of brain science. 2. The Researcher's Prize is open to everyone engaged in brain science reseach at any level, to write a newspaper-style article conveying the excitement, intrigue and possibilities of their area of research. The winners will have their articles published and receive a cash prize.
