THE OPPORTUNITY

 This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and experienced Account Manager/Director to play a part in this rapidly growing Business Unit within a highly successful healthcare agency.

 
BACKGROUND
 
Langland is the largest independent healthcare advertising agency in the UK. Founded in 1991, the agency has an annual turnover approaching £6 million and an impressive client list that includes AstraZeneca, Bayer, GSK, Quintiles and Pfizer. Based in Windsor, we have a permanent team of 40 staff working from superb premises near the bank of the River Thames.
 
In addition to creating award-winning advertising campaigns aimed at healthcare professionals, we are currently involved in direct-to-patient advertising programmes, assisting many of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies in their clinical research activities.
 
THE POSITION
 
We are looking for a Senior Account Manager or Junior Account Director to play a significant part in the development of creative solutions to patient access and retention challenges on a global scale. Working alongside the Business Unit Director, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational activities on a portfolio of diverse studies. Your project management responsibilities will include:
 

§       Working with clients and our in-house creative teams to create innovative marketing programmes for patient access and retention

§       Account planning including researching therapy areas and developing patient profiles; market research

§       Preparing creative briefs, briefing the creative team and assessing creative work against the brief

§       Presenting creative work to clients and meeting regularly to plan and progress activity

§       Overall responsibility for operational excellence on a portfolio of clinical studies including translation and production tracking, budgetary control and the distribution of materials to study sites across the world

§       Planning recruitment campaigns across all media including TV, press, radio and the web

 
THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
 
The agency is based in beautiful new offices close to the many shops, bars and restaurants of Windsor, with a roof terrace overlooking the Castle.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
Candidates should be educated to degree level and should have several years’ previous experience in managing projects within an agency environment. A qualification or experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
 

§       Life science

§       Nursing

§       Media buying

§       DTC/consumer advertising

§       Experience with patient advocacy or support groups or charities

§       Experience with organisations running customer loyalty schemes

§       Experience of dealing with translation agencies and approval of foreign language text

§       A good understanding of the processes involved in clinical research gained within a pharmaceutical company, CRO or study site

§       Fluency in other languages

TIMING
