Science in School is a new European journal to promote inspiring science teaching. Science in School covers not only biology, physics and chemistry, but also maths and earth sciences. The contents include teaching materials; cutting-edge science; education projects; interviews with young scientists and inspiring teachers; education research; book reviews; and European events for teachers. An online discussion forum will be launched shortly. It is supported by the EU and published by the EIROforum, a collaboration of seven European intergovernmental research organisations. It is freely available online and 20,000 print copies are being distributed across Europe. Online articles are published in many European languages; the print version is in English. More details and the first issue are available at: www.scienceinschool.org. Best wishes, Eleanor Hayes Editor of Science in School ********************************************************************** 1.
