Dear colleagues
I know many on this list send out email newsletters, for example to members
of their friends organisations (e.g. I'm on the Science Museum's teachers'
list).

What 'marketing email' software do you use?

Ideally we'd like it to be able to support html newsletters combined with
mail merge for personalisation of greetings (Dear xxx).

We want any bounced emails to be automatically noted as no longer valid
within the database. In addition, if a URL is included within the email,
then we would like any resulting click-throughs to be recorded in the
database.

We know such packages exist (we have a trial of one such) but we are
interested in anyone else's experiences/recommendations. Many thanks.

Best wishes
Tristram
