Congratulations to David Howard on his part in the BBC4 TV programme on The Castrati. Absolutely fascinating - using computer techniques to morph a boy's soprano voice with that of an adult male in an attempt to simulate the sound of the castrato. The programme finished a few minutes ago. It will be repeated at 23:50 on Sunday 9th July 2006 on BBC4 TV, after the feature film Farinelli. John Wells
