*Assistant / Associate Professor
Interior Design Program*
(Full-time / 10-month salary/ Begins August 2007)

Join an engaging community of design scholars and practitioners in the 
Indiana University Interior Design program. This tenure-track position 
at Indiana University’s main campus in Bloomington, Indiana, offers an 
opportunity to join a Council for Interior Design-accredited program 
that fosters a dynamic blend of academic theory and best-of-class 
skill-building techniques in its curricula, programs and departmental 
philosophy. The Interior Design program is part of a burgeoning 
campus-wide Design Studies initiative that integrates multidisciplinary 
design expertise in innovative academic and professional applications.

While this is an Assistant Professor position, consideration as 
Associate Professor of Design Studies could be made for exceptional 
candidates.

*Required Qualifications:* PhD in Design Studies or related field; 
established publishing record; professional and/or teaching experience; 
critical and independent thinking skills; keen focus on students to help 
prepare them to be leaders in their chosen fields.

*Desirable Qualifications:* NCIDQ certification.

*Teaching Responsibilities*: The selected candidate will teach 
undergraduate courses covering such areas as: design history, theory, 
philosophy, and methods; digital presentation technologies; 
computer-aided design; rendering and perspective sketching; fundamental 
design studio; advanced commercial design studio.

*Other Responsibilities: *Research and/or creative activity, program and 
departmental service.
