Hi everybody!

While constructing an own furnace, I'm thinking about reasonable dimensions
of crucibles. In the moment, I plan to use Ta crucibles with a length of 85
mm (length of the heated part about half of that!), an ID of 11 mm, and an
OD of 12.3 mm. Makes this sense? Or should we take rather more or less
thickness of the material? What about embrittlement of Ta? And, may one use
Mo crucibles instead of Ta?

Thanks in advance,

Joerg
