** apologies for cross postings** Sent on behalf of Prof. T Millar for the Astrophysical Chemistry Group of the RSC and RAS The Astrophysical Chemistry Group Annual Meeting DUST, GAS AND CHEMISTRY IN SPACE To be held at School of Mathematics & Physics, Queen’s University Belfast on Thursday and Friday, 4-5 January, 2007 Invited Speakers: Eric Herbst, Ohio State University Klaus Pontoppidan, Caltech Liv Hornekaer, Aarhus University Martin McCoustra, Heriot-Watt University Contributed talks and poster papers are invited on any topic relating to the role that dust grains play in the chemistry of space, including the solar system and the interstellar medium. A conference dinner will be held on the evening of Thursday 4 January at a local restaurant. A registration fee of £20 to cover room hire, tea and coffee will apply. Accommodation The conference will run from 11am on Thursday 4 January to 4pm on Friday 5 January, 2007 and will be held in the Bell Lecture Theatre, School of Mathematics and Physics. A number of rooms (with and without en-suite facilities) have been reserved in Stranmillis University College, ten minutes walk from the Lecture Theatre. Travel Belfast is served by two airports. George Best City Airport is situated on the shores of Belfast Lough about 3 miles from the University and Belfast International Airport, which has a daily connection with Newark, is about 20 miles north of the city. A number of budget airlines fly from airports within the UK and Europe to both airports.
