Systematic Research Synthesis course (University of Leeds, 14th-16th March) 

This course is day one of a course of three one-day workshops, suitable for individuals wishing to undertake, critique and familiarise themselves with systematic review methods. Further detail:  

1)     Participants can attend just the first workshop or all three 

2)     Workshop 1 provides a thorough overview of the principles, practice and purpose of systematic research synthesis. Workshops 2 & 3 provide a critical understanding of the key decision-making stages in a systematic review and hands-on experience of web-based tools for literature searching and review management.  

3)     The course covers quantitative and qualitative synthesis and is relevant for all public policy research areas, including social welfare, education, crime and justice, transport, health care and health promotion, and housing.  

4)     Can be taken as a stand alone short course or as a Masters module at the Institute of Education, University of London.
