Dear colleagues, Following the success of the previous editions, the PhD students of the Augustin Cournot Doctoral School organize the third edition of the Augustin Cournot Doctoral Days (A.C.D.D.), which will be held on May 2nd-4th, 2006, at the Université Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, France. The aim is to offer a stimulating environment in which international PhD students and young researchers in Economics, Management, Finance and Science & Technology Studies can exchange their ideas with experienced researchers. The ACDD conference will include one or more sessions related to the Social Studies of science, technology and medecine. We are soliciting papers focusing on recent issues regarding all major fields of research in history and sociology of science, technology and medecine. Accepted papers will be presented in parallel sessions. The proposed format is a 20-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute general discussion. Two plenary sessions are scheduled at the beginning and the end of the meeting with the participation of experienced senior researchers. One of the invited keynote speackers will be Mikael Härd, Professor in the history of technology at the Darmstadt University of Technology Schloss. He will give a presentation on the relationship between technolgy and culture.
