The National Library of Medicine is pleased to announce "Meat, Medicine and 
Human Health in the Twentieth Century," a historical workshop that aims to 
explore the meanings and uses of meat in relation to human health during 
the last century. The meeting will be held at the National Institutes of 
Health, Bethesda, Maryland, 14-15 November 2006.  
"Meat, Medicine, and Human Health" is open to all; registration is
