For any London-based research students on the list: We are hoping to run a small research conference on the area of Science & Technology Studies that considers science in non-scientific cultures (i.e. research into public policy, film, literature, "public understanding" or "public engagement" activities, museums, education, etc) and wondered if any other London-based PG's would like to join the planning committee. The idea is to build on last summer's "Science and the Public: postgraduate science communication conference" but tighten the focus on research rather than practice. Plus, we'll probably make it a general, rather than postgrad only conference. Info on last year's conference can be found here: http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/humanities/sciencecommunicationgroup/postgraduateconference/ If any one is interested in working on this, please email: [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask] We'll want to get things sorted to have a CFP's before the end of term/ Jan 07 at the latest.
