APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING ____________________ British Television Drama and US Imports: Aesthetics, Institutions, Histories. A one-day symposium at the University of Reading, Friday 24 March 2006. Organised under the auspices of the AHRC-funded research project “British TV Drama and Acquired US Programmes 1970-2000” and the Centre for Television Drama Studies, this event will focus on the relationships between British and US television in an age of globalisation, including how the aesthetics, institutions and viewing practices of British television are affected by the import of television drama from the USA.
