TEACHING LARGE GROUPS 5 July 2006, London Many library and information workers are required to give lectures and presentations to large groups e.g. 30 to 1000 people. This is particularly common in educational organisations where library staff are involved in introductory sessions during induction week or as part of an ongoing programme of study. BENEFITS OF ATTENDING This workshop will enable participants to develop the skills and attitudes required to design and deliver interactive lectures and presentations to large groups. It will enable them to reduce the stresses that are sometimes involved in this type of work. The workshop is designed to enable participants to take part in a range of practical activities. She is a senior lecturer at Hull University Business School where she is involved in teaching groups of 30 to 450 students.
