It can be difficult to demonstrate the value of your information service within the overall organisational context. This conference will help you to communicate clearly and effectively and build the profile of your service.

Morning:

> Getting key people on side: Steve Borley, SLA Europe Information Professional of the Year 2005; Regional Information Manager, Royal Bank of Scotland
> Spreading the message: National Library of Scotland (speaker tbc)
> Evaluating the impact: the highs and lows of the Abertay experience: Ivor Lloyd, Director of Information Services, University of Abertay Dundee; CILIPS President 2006

Afternoon: choose two out of these three workshops

> Workshop A: Fitting your service priorities into the organisational objectives.

You are invited to stay on for further refreshments and the Career Development Group's UK National AGM at 4.00. 

This will be followed at 4.30 by a 30 minute talk from Phil Sykes of the University of Liverpool, who will speak and initiate discussion on 'Librarianship with a human face'.
