Netskills will be running the following workshops at Metro New Media, London:

1. Design Solutions for e-Learning, 19th September

We believe design is the key to effective e-learning. Led by professionals in the field, this cutting-edge workshop will enable you to apply a proven instructional design methodology to produce pedagogically-effective e-learning.


2. Content Solutions for e-Learning, 20th September
-----------------------------------------------------
For e-learning to be more than just page turning, you need to provide learners with engaging content. This workshop introduces the skills you need to create such content, the tools that can help you and how to reuse and repurpose existing learning resources.


3. Assessment Solutions for e-Learning, 21st September
-----------------------------------------------------
This workshop is aimed at individuals who are either currently delivering or are preparing to deliver assessment online. The workshop covers analysis, evaluation, planning and design stages leading to the development of pedagogically effective online assessment.


4. Project Management for the Education Sector, 21st September
-----------------------------------------------------
This workshop introduces a project management methodology specifically tailored to the needs of the education sector. It is an interactive day and will introduce delegates to a structured approach to project management. The workshop is flexible, enabling the content to be matched to the needs of delegates, whether experienced or beginners in project management, and to investigate various examples.


5. Communication and Collaboration for e-Learning, 26th September

Are two heads really better than one? Discover how to use online communication and collaboration to enhance learning and teaching. Topics covered include designing collaborative e-learning, using tools such as blogs, wikis and podcasts and effective group moderation.


6. e-Assessment: Tools & Techniques, 27th September
-----------------------------------------------------
This workshop focuses on the tools available for creating online assessment and the practical techniques required to use them effectively. These tools will be considered in terms of the functionality offered as well as their interoperability with other tools and systems for delivery and management.


7. Detecting and Deterring Plagiarism, 28th September
-----------------------------------------------------
This is a practical workshop aimed at staff in further and higher education institutions who wish to find out more about the impact of the web on plagiarism, and how to deal with it. As well as gaining a thorough understanding of issues concerned with plagiarism, participants will also explore essay banks, online plagiarism detection services, and, through discussions and scenarios, consider different approaches to deterring plagiarism.
