A practical workshop on making the most of quick and easy, freely available IT methods and software to produce teaching and learning materials, tutorials and presentations to enhance your information skills teaching. There will be demonstrations and time to try out the suggestions and to start producing your own materials.
Topics will include:
· Use of the INFORMS materials, in-house methods and other free
resources to produce information skills tutorials
· Using
Powerpoint to produce high quality teaching and learning materials such as
tutorials and presentations
· The use of
free learning games and quizzes
· Linking materials to a
VLE
· The use of
interactive whiteboards to enhance learning
