Further to the enquiry about IB(DP) from a new international school in Spain. Two possible avenues are: a. access the library forum of the OCC (Online Curriculum Centre) of the IBO website, as identified in a previous email - the librarian can get password details from the Diploma Programme coordinator at the individual school b. access a library listserv operated by ECIS/CIS (European Council of International Schools/Council of International Schools) - details from the ECIS website http://www.ecis.org/ Various unofficial resource lists for IBDP areas exist, mostly through informal networks of librarians, though nothing official from the IBO. Groups of librarians in the various regions for the IBO are working together to achieve this, but it is a long process. For instance, in the Asia-Pacific region, we are working with the IBO regional office to produce guidelines about school libraries though the priority is a conference on information literacy in Singapore in March 2007. In terms of specific resources, Austral Ed, a firm which deals with international schools, has started to develop subject specific IBDP lists - Art & Design and Literature available so far. Details at: http://www.australed.iinet.net.au/ An interesting contribution to a new publication about sixth form library use from the UK School Library Association focuses on library experience of IBDP. Details from: http://www.sla.org.uk/publications.php The citation is Clark, C 2006, ‘IB, the sixth form and the LRC: an international school perspective’, in Sixth Sense: the sixth form and the LRC, G Dubber (ed.), School Library Association, Swindon, pp.40-44.
