Apologies for cross-posting

CILIP special interest group UC & R (Wales) have arranged a visit to Hereford Cathedral and associated exhibitions on July 7th 2006.

The visit will start with lunch at the Cathedral at 12 noon, followed by some leisure time to look around the Cathedral itself, visit the shop maybe!

There is a tour of the Mappa Mundi exhibition scheduled for 2 pm, which will be followed by a tour of the Chained Library. It is hoped that there will be time at the end of this part of the visit to re-visit the Mappa Mundi exhibition for a "self-directed" tour. The medieval Mappa Mundi and Chained Library are now housed together in the award-winning New Library Building, designed by Whitfield Partners and funded by Sir Paul Getty.

For more information on the Cathedral click into their excellent web site at http://www.herefordcathedral.org/

The visit is free, but there will be a cost for your lunch obviously, along with an entrance fee of £3.50 for the Mappa Mundi exhibition.

If you wish to book a place on this visit please get in touch as places are limited.

If you require additional information please get back to me.
