UK Serials Group announce their next InForum date:

UKSG InForum

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A half-day discussion group for workplace librarians
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wednesday 22 March 2006

Royal College of Physicians, London, NW1

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you enjoy the opportunity to ‘talk shop’ with other like-minded
information people you will benefit from this UKSG meeting.  The UKSG
InForum is:
*         an opportunity to exchange ideas and experience
*         a time to extend your personal and professional networks
*         a chance to take time out of a busy work-life to consider the
context in which you work
*         an occasion to feel less isolated and alone if you work in
professional isolation
*         a time to refresh your knowledge and find solutions to your
problems.
The session will begin with a general overview of the topic and then open up
for input from all present.  Ensuing discussions are always interesting and
stimulating with the creative collective input addressing issues of shared
interest and concern.
This is not a lecture, not a workshop and not a training course.  It is an
opportunity to brainstorm topics of mutual interest with professional
colleagues.
“To acquire knowledge, one must study; but to acquire wisdom, one must
observe [and share and discuss].”  Marilyn vos Savant
