Hi Kathy

There's an organization called Book Aid International (formerly Ranfurly Library) which organizes donations to sub-Saharan Africa and Palestine. They do however only want books that are actually needed, so your physio would need to check their criteria and if they needed journals.

We need material in the following areas of particularly high demand:

·         reference material - books, encyclopedias and atlases

·         vocational material - for instance woodwork, metalwork, pattern cutting and technical drawing

All books must have been published in the last five years and be in 'good as new' condition.

See http://www.bookaid.org/cms.cgi/site/getinvolved/books.htm

Best wishes

Liz

Subject: Donating journals to the Third World

Dear Colleagues

Does anyone know of any charities or organisations etc. who collect journals for the Third World?

One of our physiotherapists wants her collection to go to a good home.

Many thanks,

Kathy Turtle
