Hi Chris & Ed - this has reminded me that the BBC also ran a great series of diaries by disabled students - on their Ouch website - don't seem to be doing it this year but the entries are still there at http://www.bbc.co.uk/ouch/lifefiles/student/  One of them, Darren, was a blind computing student at Keele.

Dear all

We will be taking an international student in October who as a result of injury is now completely blind.  He is articulate, very bright and determined to be independent.  Anyone got any experience of working with such students - and any advice?

Chris
