IGRS Modern Language Publications Series
Call for proposals

Proposals are invited for a new book series in Modern Languages (French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and comparative studies) published by the Institute of Germanic & Romance Studies, University of London (see http://igrs.sas.ac.uk ). In addition to the IGRS’s own staff, who form the Editorial Committee, a Peer Review Committee of 36 senior academics in the field will select two proposals per year to be published in the series. Complete texts of the selected books must be submitted to the IGRS in camera-ready copy, according to a template supplied by IGRS, and authors will be asked to contribute a subvention of £200 on submission. The expectation is that authors will supply the full text approximately one year after acceptance of the proposal. Books may be of any length between 30,000 and 100,000 words, and may be either monographs or academic collections. Fiction and translations will not be considered.

Please submit your proposal to Prof Naomi Segal, Director of the IGRS, via email to [log in to unmask] . The closing date for proposals is Monday 17 July 2006. Proposals should be no longer than 5 pages of A4, be accompanied by a short curriculum vitae (2 pages) with the name of one academic referee, and conform to the following structure:
