Geoff West Hispanic Collections The British Library The Annual General Meeting of ACLAIIR (Advisory Council on the Acquisition of Latin American and Iberian Information Resources) will be held at the British Library Conference Centre on Tuesday 27 June. A seminar in the afternoon will be devoted to the distribution, selection and acquisition of Spanish research publications. Non-members are welcome to attend the AGM, the afternoon seminar, or both. Programme 10.45 Registration (Coffee, tea, etc. available in Room 3) 11.00 Committee Meeting (Room 4) 11.30 Annual General Meeting (Room 4) 12.45 Lunch (Room 3) 14.15 Seminar 'Lines of supply: the acquisition of research publications from Spain' (Room 4) 16.00 Tea (Room 3) 16.15 Tour of British Library (45 mins. - 1 hour, if basement visit included) The speakers at the Seminar will be Fernando Lanzas (Spanish Embassy, London, previously Director Técnico of the Biblioteca Nacional, and Director General del Libro, Archivos y Bibliotecas, Ministerio de Educación y Cultura) and Klaus Vervuert (bookseller and publisher, Iberoamericana, Madrid & Frankfurt). If you wish to attend, please fill out the attached form and return it to the address shown by Monday 19 June at the latest. There is a conference fee of £30.00 (to include lunch and refreshments).
