Dear All,

Our award winning high profile media client is currently seeking the 
expertise of a GIS specialist to join their analytics division. Working on 
some very high profile clients you will have the opportunity to show off 
your flair and ambition. You will be expected to assist the team by using 
advanced GIS techniques into location aspects to do with media and 
marketing. This company has much to offer and believe in nurturing their 
staff and their skills as such they were listed one of the top 100 
companies to work for in the Sunday Times list. Typical projects will 
include conducting analytical projects in the areas of spatial, 
geodemographic and database analysis. Those who additionally have 
experience of direct marketing would definitely be of interest. You will 
have good communication and interpersonal skills in order to mentor more 
junior members of staff. To be amongst your peers you will need excellent 
academics – at least a BSc in Geography or Statistics – ideally a Masters 
in Geographical Information Science, together with 3+ years commercial 
experience in a Geo-analytical environment. The role will use your sound 
knowledge of Geographical / Database analysis  (e.g. gravity modelling, 
propensity modelling, Geo-demographics and / or Geo-statistics and how 
these are applied to location planning issues). Any knowledge of relevant 
GIS and statistical tools such as ArcInfo, MapInfo, GeoMedia, CACI 
Insight, Micromarketer, SegMentz, Mosaic, SAS, SPSS, S-Plus, etc. will be 
put to good use.
