Technical Consultant - Permanent Post - London - £NEG My client a leading provider of consulting and professional services is looking to recruit a Technical Consultant. For this role we are looking for responsible individual as you will be required to; project manage work packets, technical management of development activities, technical development work, provision of technical and user systems documentation, technical problem analysis and system testing. My client looks for individuals that stand out as they are strongly committed to your future development and career, you will be given full training and be mentored by other senior consultants to aid your progress. Its important that you are a flexible individual as my client works on projects country wide so you may be required to work away from home for periods of time. The skills we require for this particular role is a a top qualification in IT or GIS, structured systems analysis, design to enterprise standards, at least 1 years experience of system integration and enterprise solutions, understanding of project life cycle, competence in industry leading operating systems (e.g. UNIX, VMS, MS Windows 2000/XP), applications development using industry leading languages (e.g. Java, VB, .NET), applications development or system support experience is a GIS/Spatial Systems environment would be a significant advantage, Direct experience of major RDBMS and Object Orientated database technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server), direct experience of web-based technology developments for intranet and internet solutions, Microsoft and Sun Solaris would be favoured but not essential.
