"An Introduction to Ground Source Heating & Cooling"

Following the success of our first professional short course, held on 21st October 2005 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.....

Holymoor Consultancy, in association with JDIH (Water & Environment) Ltd. and Geowarmth Ltd., is pleased to invite you to a professional short course on “Ground Source Heating and Cooling”.

The course will cover:

The subsurface as a heat reservoir
Ground source heat: historical and international perspective.
What is a ground source heat pump?
Options and applications for ground source heat pumps.
Installation: practical considerations.
The physics of subsurface heat flow, an introduction.
Open and closed loop systems: introduction to design aspects.
Thermal response testing.
Integration into the building process
The UK experience: supply, demand and economics.
The regulatory framework.

The course will run from 10:00 am to 17:00 pm. The cost of the course will be £175 (+VAT), including course lecture pack, refreshments and a buffet lunch.
