The Museum’s Education Officers are responsible for an education
programme for school students, families, lifelong learners and teachers,
which is focused on the history of science and has a strong emphasis on
the history of scientific instruments. The Museum is seeking a primary
school specialist to fill a part-time maternity cover post which will be
available for six months from the end of April, with the possible
option of renewal for up to a further six months. Essential
requirements are a relevant degree (history, science or the history of
science), an education qualification or significant relevant experience,
enthusiasm for the history of science, good communication and team
working skills and a commitment to the educational function of museums.
