MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF SCIENCE Education Officer (part-time temporary maternity cover, 0.4 FTE, for six months in the first instance) Academic-Related Research Staff Grade D30 I(B), £20,044 - £31,274 pa pro rata The Museum’s Education Officers are responsible for an education programme for school students, families, lifelong learners and teachers, which is focused on the history of science and has a strong emphasis on the history of scientific instruments. The Museum is seeking a primary school specialist to fill a part-time maternity cover post which will be available for six months from the end of April, with the possible option of renewal for up to a further six months. Essential requirements are a relevant degree (history, science or the history of science), an education qualification or significant relevant experience, enthusiasm for the history of science, good communication and team working skills and a commitment to the educational function of museums.
