i am writing a paper on the act of looking. i am
examining sequences in doco where the camera almost ceases to move (save for the
fact that it is handheld) when we are looking at images that contain no
people.
has anyone done any reading on HOW the viewer
looks, and then looks further into the frame to find meaning (during the long
take) particularly in shots that contain no people/animals.
