Hi there I've been following the discussion in this list for a couple of months and now I feel more comfortable to actually tke part in it. I teach aty a small private university in Brazil, and this semester I have the pleasure - and the challange - to teach experimental cinema. I've done some research, looked into syllabuses and all but still I don't feel 100% satisfied with the discipline. The main reason is that I found it difficult to find references about experimental cinema in Africa and Asia, mainly. Which filmmakers/theorists would you reccomend that I included in my syllabuses? Also, besides Deleuze, which philosopher would you consider relevant for such a course?
