Hi everyone,

I'm doing some preliminary research for a paper on the portrayal of Muslims in contemporary American film  -  that is, after Sept 11th 2001 and including recent or future film projects. I'd be comparing the changes in temper, if any, towards Muslim characters or to Islam in general, against the pre-9/11 temperament. What do the American culture industries say to the American public about the position of Muslims in and outside the US? How does Hollywood grapple with the new 'realities' that 9/11 and political events present with regard to Islam and its followers?

Could anyone point me towards any films (before and after 9/11) that could bear further analysis in those areas above?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Warm regards,
Pei-Sze Chow.
