Museum Education Worker

Full Time (37 hours per week)

Fixed term contract to 31^st March 2007

 

Based in Leicester, with travel throughout the region

Salary £23,117 - £25,373

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self motivated person to work as part of a team to develop sustainable partnerships between museums, archives and the education sector. The Museum Education Worker will assist museums and archives developing education programmes for children and young people and will support teachers and museum staff on work placements. In addition, the Museum Education Worker will contribute to training and advocacy events.

 

Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum and the ‘Change for Children’ agenda.  Applications from people wishing to job share are welcome. Applicants wishing to work as a secondment from another post must secure approval from their employers before making an application.
