Specialist Study Skills Support Tutor
Disability and Dyslexia Service
We currently have a vacancy for the above post to work at Brunel
University to join our existing team of sessional tutors and other support
workers.
A Tutor will be required to give 1:1 support to dyslexic students and
students with other specific learning difficulties who are enrolled on a
variety of higher education courses.
Main duties will include:
• Teaching learning and study strategies
• Assisting with organisational skills
• Assisting with developing the skills which underpin academic work
• Maintaining a teaching log and termly reports
• Aiding independent learning and self-management of learning
Suitable applicants will have a degree or equivalent, a recognised
qualification for teaching students with Specific Learning Difficulties
and relevant experience of working with students at HE. Enhanced CRB
clearance will be required.
Tutors will be paid at an hourly rate of £34.62
