************ Apologies for cross-posting *********************************** DPC Web Archiving Forum 2006 Date: 12 June 2006 Venue: British Library Conference Centre, London Cost: £45 DPC members, £90 non-DPC members The DPC is delighted to announce its second web archiving forum on 12 June 2006. The first DPC web archiving forum was held in 2002 to promote awareness of archiving websites due to their increasing importance as information and cultural resources. Four years on, this event will again bring together key web archiving initiatives and will offer a chance to review progress in the field. The day will provide an in-depth picture of the UK Web Archiving Consortium as well as international and European initiatives. A range of specialists will examine technical solutions and legal issues. The exciting programme and range of international experts will encourage much debate and discussion around different strategies and methodologies. This forum will be beneficial to those involved in similar archiving projects and for those who want to discover more about the state of play in the web archiving field.
