Dear All,

I am currently working on an assignment with the British Library to recruit for a Web Archiving Programme Manager. I have been advised this channel is a good medium to locate potential individuals who are interested and capable of conducting the role.

The successful applicant will play a key role within the UK Web Archiving Consortium and the International Internet Preservation Consortium. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of crawling and archiving the WWW and knowledge of issues surrounding the technical, legal, access and communication elements in creating a UK domain. You will work with international experts in the development of a standard toolkit for large scale (global), web archiving and lead a technical, UK based project team.

The selected candidate will almost certainly have a background in Software Development and knowledge of Java, J2EE, and scripting languages. They will have an interest in open source technologies and would be excited by the sound of this project.

If you are interested in the role, would like a confidential conversation or would like to review the full job description, please do not hesitate to contact me. Alternatively, should you know anyone who potentially would be interested, please feel free to pass on my contact details.

Kind regards

Oliver
