Whilst acknowledging that threads can develop over time, the opening entry in this thread was about anonymity within a person's own organization, and whether it was fair processing to give out the name of an internal applicant to another member of staff in the same organization. The purpose of having the name and contact details is to supply the applicant with the information that they have requested. If a member of the organization's management wants to know who in the organization is making requests, does it compromise the DP rights of the applicant to give that manager their name. I would suggest it does, but others have suggested that the management have a right to know. Who wins?
