Unfortunately I get this response from some organisations. Most are aware of
the need to notify, but it's very low on the prioity list when they realise
that the ICO has no teeth.

"Come back when someone has been seriously hit with a fine...." is the sort
of thing I have been told.

Does anyone know if the ICO is taking BT to task over it's (alleged) failure
to notify?

Simon.

I'm very much in agreement with this.

If it really turns out that BT aren't even registered for DP, and nothing
happens, I would seriously question whether any of the businesses for
which I am a director should bother renewing their registration.
