Hi Arthur,

If you are planning to commence actively promoting the new features in the
7.1 discussion board you may want to reassure yourself that the new
features you plan to promote are working before advertising them too widely.

We have found a lot of problems with the new features in the 7.1 discussion
board:
- The Collect Thread feature does not work
- The Search by Date range feature does not work
- Thread level grading does not work (resulting in a serious performance hit
on the app server and end users PC)
- Forum level grading does not work if the instructor uses any of the Sort
or Filter toolbars before entering the students grade.
- The subscribe button causes a database error message to be displayed every
time it is clicked by end-users(only on Unix)
- When instructors enter a grade to students if they click the OK button
instead of the update button the grade entered is lost without any warning
or indication to the instructor that the grade they entered is being
discarded.
- The drop down-boxes in the Filter toolbars accumulate an additional 'Show
All' option every time a filter is performed.
- A saved message can only be re-edited once, because the Save button is
missing from the message edit tool(Submit is the only option in the editor).

Subject: Re: Repackaging Bb Online Tutorials

Hi Arthur,

I opened the forum tutorial and opened the properties for that page.
There I could easily copy the URL for that page:

http://www.blackboard.com/viewlets/Bb_Discussion_Board_Overview_viewlet_swf.
htm

I've tried it and it works fine in a new browserwindow after pasting the
URL. HTH
