Windows is up to date on my PC - but other people have had the same
problem here, not just me. I'll make a point of trying to access the
files from home though, to see if it's any different outside our
firewall / proxy.

The links were to docs inside the Blackboard CMS - Course Content, so
you'd have to be enrolled on the course to see them. It seems to me that
BB / IE checks to see if you have access rights first; if not it tells
you so. But if you do have rights, that's when it tries to download the
file, but fails.

Thanks for your time on this - let's hope one of the BB gurus cab
enlighten us.
