Hi, I'm kind with Mark on this one ... in terms that with some many of these tools in the learning system tend to involve the instructor setting it up, involving the investment of time etc., while people might just want create ad hoc groups. This is a classic problem with many of the VLEs - this type of functionality is control through the course by the instructor. Mark - have you explored the expo functionality within campus? It will allow blog & wiki inclusion, outside the course. The problem is the access rights are very blunt. I made this point to the developers at the Bbd Conference - not sure if they'll listen to "little old me" - but we'll see. If we keep making this point that we need better access settings rights to the expo tool then the students could use this to create ad hoc, non course depending blogs/wikis.
