I found your comments regarding the issuing
of Epics very interesting.
It has given me food for thought and I
wondered if you would be kind enough to give the following information
either by an e-mail or via my fax number 01634 401065.
- how many active patients have you?
- how many Epics/Epiocs do you issue
annually?
- what is your assessment process?
- can I have a copy of your criteria for
supply of electric wheelchairs?
- if possible can you let me know your budget
allocation for electric wheelchairs, including staffing and spare parts for
maintenance and repair.
- do you carry out a PPM programme and
if so is the annually?

I find it hard to believe that the EPIC is still in circulation. We
are in the 21st century so why on earth are managers still bothering with this
outdated type of chair. If you just purchased EPIOCs you would save in
the long run on timeand energy of staff alone in the allocation process.
Come on you lot - change the whole system
