RAATE is the only UK conference focused on the latest innovations in Assistive Technology (AT). The conference runs on the 27th and 28th November 2006 at The Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Birmingham and will be of interest everyone who uses, works with, develops or conducts research in AT. Each year RAATE attracts a multi-professional, multi-agency audience, including Therapists, Rehabilitation and Clinical engineers, Teachers, Researchers, Suppliers and Manufacturers who share knowledge and experience and meet partners for future work. 

 

Training Day: £70, Conference: £130

 

Training – 27th November

For the first time RAATE will provide a one-day budget training programme including the leading training providers in AT:

 

Posture: led by Wendy Murphy, Oxford Centre for Enablement.

 

Telecare: led by Maria Parks, York St John College.

 

AT in Education: Alison Gaskin, ACE Centre North.

 

Integrated systems: Colin Clayton, Wolfson Centre.

 

 

Conference – 27th and 28th November

The provisional conference programme this year includes an afternoon trade exhibition, a free paper session, a chance to network and an evening meal on the 27th.

 

A full day on the 28th which will include poster, plenary and free papers sessions featuring the latest innovations and good practice developments.

Workshops looking at key subjects in depth, including: risk assessment, web accessibility and assessment of cognitive levels.

Trade exhibition with presentations on the latest developments in AT

 

Call for Papers:

You are invited to submit an abstract for a presentation (20 minutes), poster, or workshop (1½ hours) on a case study, service delivery, new development, review, or research in an area of Assistive Technology.
