The British Postal Museum & Archive cares for the visual, written and physical records of over 400 years of postal development. The archive contains 2.5 miles of records of The Post Office and Royal Mail from the seventeenth century to the present day. The archive includes papers on all aspects of Royal Mail activities; such as postal transport, uniform, postage rates, and postal technology. Wonderful visual records such as maps, posters, artwork and photogrpahs, and one of the greatest collections of British stamps and philately, from the Penny Black onwards.
