Published last month, the book explores issues relating to evidence, accountability, democracy and trust, and examines their implications for the professional ethics of recordkeeping. It is intended to help and encourage archivists and records managers to reconsider the ethical dimensions of their work. It has a foreword by Sarah Tyacke and is published by Facet. The authors will come from different parts of the English-speaking world. Some volumes in the series will address theoretical and strategic issues; others will have a practical focus and offer guidance on effective ways of managing records and archives and presenting them to users. The second volume in the series will be "Preserving Archives", by Helen Forde. Available next month, this will be the first comprehensive text on archive preservation to be published in the UK.
