Hi, does anyone out there know what the difference is between industrial methlylated spirit (IMS) and Industrial denatured alcohol(IDA) and if it is different the latter is used to preserve waterlogged plant remains. I am trying to find a suitable medium for the long term storage of waterlogged seeds etc. I used IMS in the past but find I have to apply for authorisation to receive and use IDA and I'm not sure if this is the same thing.
