The Centre de Recherche Public - Gabriel Lippmann, a fast growing public 
establishment for applied scientific research and technology transfer in 
Luxembourg, has an opening on a temporary contract basis for its 
Department ‘Environment and agro-biotechnologies' for

*a post-doctoral position in nature conservation (m/f) - Ref. EVA-31106-ECO*

Mission: the EU Habitat Directive (92/43/CEE) requires regular 
monitoring and reporting of the conservation status of habitats and 
species of community interest. This study aims at establishing the 
conservation status of habitats and species occurring in Luxembourg. The 
work will consist in the statistical analysis of existing data and in 
the predictive modelling of the potential trends in the development of 
habitats and of the changes in the spatial distribution and abundance of 
plant and animal populations.

Profile:

· PhD in the field of conservation biology or ecology.

· Strong background in multivariate statistical analysis and ecological 
modelling are a must. Proficient use of common GIS tools is required.

· Fluency in French or German in addition to English is a must.
