Research Associate/Senior Research Associate in Epidemiology

Salary:  £24,161-£31,525 (RA) and £32,471-£41,133 (SRA) per annum 

Limit of tenure:  31 May 2011

The CNC is a new, national collaboration embedded within the University of Cambridge Clinical School, between the University of Cambridge Departments of Public Health and Primary Care, Oncology and Pathology, five MRC Units located in Cambridge, the Addenbrooke's Hospital Departments of Radiology, Colorectal Surgery and Gastroenterology, and six other Universities (Leeds, York, London, Oxford, Bristol and Sheffield). 

We require a Senior Epidemiologist to develop and sustain excellence in the research mission of the CNC in its four main sectors of work by planning research programmes, securing funds, publishing research findings and by contributing to the teaching and public engagement with the science objectives of the CNC. The post-holder will have an international and independent standing in the research field of cancer epidemiology.  Applicants should have a first degree in biological sciences and a post-graduate or doctoral qualification in epidemiology.  Appropriately qualified and experienced individuals may be offered appointment at the Senior Research Associate level subject to approval by the University Clinical School.
